There’s something about summer that makes me want to drink a cocktail! All winter long I opt for red wine but as soon as the weather breaks it’s time to open up the bar. My current cocktail of choice is the Paloma cocktail, a popular and easy to make grapefruit and tequila cocktail that originated in Mexico. (Paloma is Spanish for dove.) This is my absolute favorite Paloma cocktail recipe because it’s only 3 ingredients, low carb, and incredibly refreshing!

Many Paloma recipes call for grapefruit juice but I am currently eating low carb so I prefer to make mine with grapefruit flavored soda water. (La Croix is a favorite but there are many to choose from in the grocery store.)

I prefer to make this cocktail with Patron Silver but any top-shelf tequila will work. I love the mix of tart and sweetness this cocktail delivers!
