Loaded M&Ms Cookies

I know, I know, just Monday I told you I was tired of baking but Christmas got the best of me yet again! My Dad and stepmom came to do early Christmas with us last weekend (because we’ll be spending the holiday on a cruise, yay!) and I knew I wanted to send some treats for my stepbrother and sister back home with them. Because I had already done a ton of baking the pantry was looking a little bare so I came up with these loaded chocolate chip M&M cookies and they are pretty much going to be my go-to cookie base recipe forever and ever now.

Why These Are the Best M&Ms Cookies

Let’s talk about why I love these cookies so much, shall we? First, I loaded them up with white chocolate chips, M&Ms and peanut butter M&Ms. Pretty much anything I had an open bag of in my baking cabinet went in the bowl! They are almost just as much chocolate and candy as they are dough!

Secondly, I am a lazy girl at times and I hate having to chill my cookie dough before baking like so many recipes call for. I just despise it, I want to get in the kitchen and bake without long breaks in between. This dough does not need chilling at all and doesn’t spread when it bakes so you end up with full thick cookies. You can even put the dough on a hot pan without it spreading so no wasted time between batches either. Yay!

Loaded M&M Cookie Baking Tips

  • Substituting all one type of brown sugar will not dramatically affect the recipe results
  • Substitute any combination of chocolate chips and M&Ms but be sure to get the full 4 cups total in for the “loaded” cookie
  • Recipe can be halved for smaller batches
