Meet Bear. Bear, meet the world.
Bear is seriously the best dog ever. Life with three little boys, while full of spilled food under the dining table, is also full of rough-housing, tail pulling, ear tugging and other such things some dogs would not put up with for a minute.
Not Bear. He’s the most gentle, patient dog out there. We love him to pieces. There are quite a few families we gift at the holidays that feel the same way about their dogs. So this year I made homemade dog biscuits to add to the cookies I normally bake!
Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
2 tsp vanilla extract
4 tbsp peanut butter
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup water
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix water, oil, peanut butter, and eggs until blended. In a separate bowl whisk dry ingredients. Add to wet ingredients and mix to form a ball. Add more flour if dough is sticky.
Roll on well floured surface until 1/4-1/2″ thick. Cut with a cookie cutter or cut into bars. Cook for 20-25 minutes on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bear said to tell you they are fantastic. Really.
