The first thing I did was switch out one of the paintings over the couch to a more colorful treescape. Then I decided to make some new pillow covers-there is nothing I like better than changing out pillow covers-it makes such a huge difference with a small time and money investment. (See my super easy DIY pillow cover tutorial here.) I used a gorgeous green fabric from the HGTV line, a Waverly fabrics- Strands that I made one pillow with each reversible side, and then a blue chevron fabric I had left over from my recovered chair and lampshade makeover.
I like the orange and green touches to start ushering in the colors of Fall and I’m still in love with all the pattern in this room!
When I went to decorate on the mantel I wanted to keep it pretty simple-with so much color in the room and multiple patterns so I stuck with my normal neutral palette. I added in a mercury glass pumpkin to complement the candlesticks and created a gold foil Fall picture with my Silhouette Cameo.
