I don’t understand why blondies don’t get more attention, why should brownies have all the fun? This past week my children’s school was having a family night and I was asked to make some treats for the bake sale they were having. Seeing as how this is sortof what I do for a living I of course jumped on the chance! I signed up to make my favorite blondies recipe since it had been a while since I had made some and they would keep and package up individually very nicely for the sale.
When I had a little taste test after baking I was kicking myself for having waited so long to make these. Then I searched here on the blog and realized I had never shared this amazing yet super simple recipe. I highly recommend you make these this weekend-you will not regret it!!Print
The perfect blondie recipe-buttery and caramel flavored with a generous helping of white chocolate chips.
1 cup salted butter, melted
2 cups packed light brown sugar
3 tablespoons vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9″ by 13″ baking pan with nonstick spray.
In a medium bowl combine butter, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla and mix until combined and uniform.
Add flour and baking powder and stir well. Fold in chocolate chips and spread in prepared dish.
Bake for 30 minutes or until middle is just set. Allow to cool before cutting.
So are you a brownie person or a blondie person? Let me know in the comments!
