I’m super excited to be participating in the Lamps.com Annual DIY Lampshade challenge this year! Lamps.com sent me a plain white lampshade and challenged me to get creative!
The first thing I did was layer silver glittered Duck Tape on the inside of the lampshade-the same tape I used in my DIY Easter Mason jar gift. I love that the tape is glittery but the sparkle doesn’t rub off-much less messy than traditional glitter!

After the glitter was finished on the inside I cut some leftover fabric from my midcentury chair makeover and used hot glue to cover the outside of the shade.
I love the way the chevron shade coordinates with my morrocan pillows-I can’t wait to find a new home for it when we move week after next as well!
