I’m so excited to join with some amazing bloggers today to show off our Christmas Mantel decor! Now, before I get scolded about skipping Thanksgiving I have to tell you that I LOVE Christmas decor and while in years past I’ve waited until after Thanksgiving to decorate I rarely do anymore-why should I only get four weeks of my favorite decorations? And I’ve come to love having Thanksgiving dinner with the tree sparkling in the background. Anybody else?
This year, as I did last year, I stuck with neutrals, although last year was much more rustic with deer antlers galore! This year I brought out the antlers and then tucked them away again-I wanted to go a little more glam. My inspiration was this gold glittered NOEL sign I found at Target a couple of weeks ago.
I bought some great faux boxwood from Save on Crafts last year and the deer was a TJ Maxx find from last year as well. The candlesticks are from World Market and IKEA.
I’m really loving the look of mixed metallics lately-I hated it when I was younger, funny how things change and we get influenced by trends, isn’t it?
I almost added some ornaments nestled into the boxwood but in the end I usually feel better with simplicity and I think that proved the right move here as well. Less is more, right?!
I hope you enjoyed the mantel-to see the rest of the lovely ladies on the Mantel Tour click below-they are full of gorgeous pictures and inspiration.
