It’s been about five years since I made the switch from store bought to homemade gifts for the vast majority of my gifting list. It’s been a huge help not only for my budget but it also helps keep me out of the rampant commercialism of the hoildays and really thinking about what the special people in our lives might enjoy rather than feeling like I need to spent X amount of dollars per person. I’ve shared a HUGE amount of DIY gifts here on the blog over the years and am always brainstorming more ideas-today I’m sharing DIY Lavender Bath Salts that make the perfect gift for anyone on your list that might need a little relaxation (which is us all isn’t it??) **Make sure you scroll to the bottom to read about our Facebook Party TONIGHT with LOTS of prizes!!**
You can make these in any quantity you desire-whether you want a relaxing soak yourself or to mass produce them for gifts. Simply combine in the following ratio: 1 cup epsom salts: 6 drops Lavender Essential Oil: 2 tbsp Lavender buds. Mix well and package them up! I am gifting mine in Lavender Ball mason jars because, hey-it matches! A pretty satin ribbon and I have a homemade gift that will not only be appreciated, but was frugal and all natural to make!
Some of my favorite Essential Oil loving blogging friends have joined with me today to share their favorite DIY Handmade Holiday gifts as well-AND we’re hosting a Facebook Party tonight with lots of PRIZES! Please join us by RSVPing here (and invite your friends!)
Here are some other DIY gifts you can make:
I hope to see you tonight at the Facebook Party and good luck winning one of our fun prizes!!
