Remember my post last month about keeping the holidays meaningful within your means where I asked you all to join me in a challenge to keep our holiday season focused on what means the most? Now that we’re into December and past the craziness of Black Friday I thought it would be good to check in and see how you’re doing with the challenge!
As for me, we have already used our Holiday Budgeting Sheet to set our spending limits and also are using this Holiday Planning Guide to keep a handle on everything going on this month. I skipped Black Friday in favor of shopping ahead of time online, and have planned out the gifts I’ll be making myself to begin later this month.
We’re also still planning to do our no cost once-a-week family time-my favorite idea for that is home movies and cocoa with our three little boys and we’re looking for a great place to drive through Christmas lights (any suggestions in the Washington DC area?)
We’ve also started our annual Good Deed Christmas Countdown-you can find a full post on that and free printable here.
So fill me in-how are you keeping your holidays focused on the things that matter most? Don’t forget to download your Holiday Planning Guide and Budgeting Sheet. You can also share your ideas with @SunTrust on social media with the hashtag #holidaymeans to share with the Suntrust community and check out more about their movement to keeping the holidays meaningful within your means on their new Holiday Means site!
