Y’all I’ve been waiting for this post for months! I’m so excited to be part of a group of 25 bloggers who all exchanged various flea market/thrifted finds for each other to makeover.
The lovely Jennifer from Town & Country Living sent me this little beauty and I literally laughed out loud when I opened the box!
In all reality she made it easy for me-this stein has a great shape and cool detailing so it was a given that I’d be giving it a little spray paint upgrade. First I disassembled the handle and removed the top then got to work. I gave the stein itself about 3 coats of primer to cover up the text and design then gave it two coats of white lacquer spray paint (leftover from my desk makeover.)
The handle and metal rings got two fast coats of Krylon Short Cuts in Gold Leaf-I love that stuff!
The vase now has a new home on my mantel holding some wheat and I think it fits in perfectly!
Thanks so much Jennifer for the fun swap! I love the way my stein-turned-vase turned out!
Y’all have to hop around to everyone on the swap list-some of these transformations are sure to crack you up! AND if you have your own flea market transformation link it up below (if you don’t have a blog you can upload it as a pin on Pinterest and leave the link to that!!)
