One of my very favorite food companies, Bolthouse Farms, has been browsing the #foodporn hashtags too and you know what they noticed? There’s a whole lotta pretty pictures out there of food that is not so good for you. There is a huge imbalance in what people are tagging as the very best food on the internet and fruits and veggies are just not making the cut. Bolthouse Farms created the Food Porn Index to calculate how many #foodporn pics are of healthy vs. non-healthy foods. Now I love a good dessert as much as anyone but as we all know, if there isn’t balance when it comes to unhealthy foods it can have a huge impact on your health.
Bolthouse Farms is leading a movement to get amazing pictures of beautiful AND healthy food out there-let’s spread the word that food doesn’t have to be bad for you to be amazing to eat and look at! You can see some of the #foodporn I’ve been sharing on Facebook lately:
I’ve also been admiring the gorgeous pics from some fellow bloggers too, like this amazing Spinach Watermelon Salad via Yellow Bliss Road.
Will you join me and Bolthouse Farms in the effort to create balance online? Check out www.foodpornindex.com to findout more and be sure to post your own gorgeous healthy food pictures tagged with #foodporn so we can bring healthy back to foodie pictures!
This post is #sponsored by Bolthouse Farms but as always, my thoughts and words are my own. My heart is truly behind this amazing endeavor to promote health and I am excited to share it with you!
