So I promised you last week that I would tell you all about the amazing Haven Conference I went to last weekend! For those that don’t know, Haven is a DIY/Home blogging conference held in Atlanta each year. Over 350 bloggers come together to meet with brands, take classes, and network, network, network!
I headed out Thursday morning leaving my 3 precious boys behind (this was only the 3rd time I’ve ever gone away without my family-eek!) Once I landed in the Atlanta airport I met up with my real-life BFF and fellow blogger Kristin from Down Home Inspiration and we made our way to the hotel.
Now, I have to take a moment to keep it real for you all and tell you that I HIGHLY recommend NOT trying to Nair your armpits the night before a huge blogging conference….let’s just say I sent a text to mu friends when I got to the hotel telling them that “fire pits” was in the house!! Consider yourself advised!
The opening cocktail party was amazing-everywhere I turned I saw more amazing bloggers I recognized! (And luckily the “fire pits” weren’t so bad that I couldn’t wear a cute tank and skirt outfit which I’ll be sharing with you later this week!)
After the cocktail party Kristen and I called it a night so we could rest up for our first day of sessions.
I started Day 2 by loading up my bag with Taste of Nature bars I was lucky enough to receive to review…I figured my fellow bloggers and I might need a delicious, organic, gluten-free recharge through the day!
I was also chosen to participate in the Ballard Designs coffee table challenge. My team didn’t win but we had a blast running around in a timed competition to style a Ballard coffee table!
I loved being able to talk to some of my favorite bloggers as well as meet so many new ones! Let me tell you-if you ever get the chance to talk with Karianne from Thistlewood Farm or Heather from At the Picket Fence, these are two of the most kind ladies out there!
(Jocie from One Project Closer, Pamela from PB&J Stories, Liz Marie from Liz Marie Blog, and Beth from Unskinny Boppy)
I have to mention that during the conference Ballard had the main ballroom set up as “The Living Room” with several little areas of couches and chairs and tables-it was such a nice comfortable place to stop and take a break!
(I can’t tell you how much I love Brittany from Pretty Handy Girl!!)
I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
