I’m super excited to be participating in the Lamps.com Annual DIY Lampshade challenge this year! Lamps.com sent me a plain white lampshade and challenged me to get creative!
The first thing I did was layer silver glittered Duck Tape on the inside of the lampshade-the same tape I used in my DIY Easter Mason jar gift. I love that the tape is glittery but the sparkle doesn’t rub off-much less messy than traditional glitter!
After the glitter was finished on the inside I cut some leftover fabric from my midcentury chair makeover and used hot glue to cover the outside of the shade.
I love the way the chevron shade coordinates with my morrocan pillows-I can’t wait to find a new home for it when we move week after next as well!
I’d love if you hopped over to the Lamps.com blog to vote for your favorite lampshade makeover (hopefully it will be mine!) If I win I get to give away a $100 Lamps.com gift certificate on the blog, oh and when you vote you’re entered to win a $50 gift card to Lamps.com too!
