I realized yesterday that I hadn’t shared any pictures of the Sitting Room lately, especially since adding a few touches of Autumn decor so I thought I’d give you a little peek!
I haven’t made any huge changes other than adding that money tree behind the slipper chair. It’s actually pretty amazing that I’ve managed to keep it alive so long, I wasn’t optimistic when I bought it but I’m finally getting better with my house plants I think!
When I pulled out my bins of fall decor this year I was surprised to find that I somehow accumulated way more than I have room to actually put out on display. I had to edit big time because my hoarder tendencies wanted it all out!
This room really makes me so happy, I love going in there in the morning and having my tea.
The Halloween Chalkboard art fits perfectly in here with it’s gold frame (courtesy of a little rub n’ buff!)
This cornucopia was a recent purchase from World Market and is going to be the inspiration for my Thanksgiving table. We’re hosting my mother and stepfather at our home this year and I’m excited to get to decorate for the meal.
Incidentally, this drum table was another World Market purchase and let me tell you-the name doesn’t lie, my two year old comes in here regularly to bang on it just like a drum, he loves it!
I haven’t been very much into Halloween decor this year much to my boy’s dismay. I did let them cover my Autumn Porch with fake spiderwebs and toy spiders, so they aren’t too upset!
How is your autumn decorating going?
