How is your summer going? Mild and rainy? Hot and humid? We’re sweltering here in North Carolina! When I started working on this table I had planned for it to be outside with lots of blues and greens, but the heat (and the flies-yuck!) drove me back indoors. I changed my plan and came up with this cool and crisp citrus and turquoise tablescape.
I started with my very favorite white tablecloth (remember how I love it so because it’s liquid resistant and tough enough to stand up to the kiddos?!) I layered a turquoise runner across along with white dishes and matching napkins. My hobnail ramekins became home to lemons and clementines…who doesn’t love clementines?
Cheerful daisies compliment the white in their honeycomb vase and some white and seaglass candlesticks complete the centerpiece. More lemons and oranges add pops of color to the runner…it was all I could do to get the pictures before my boys were snatching up oranges!
This might be my favorite tablescape yet-so cool and crisp and perfect for summer.
