I’m excited to share some Spring Decorating advice from some of my favorite bloggers with you today, these ladies inspire me daily with their amazing style and they have some great ideas to share!

Kelly from View Along the Way

Update the textures in your home. Take out the thick fur blankets and throws and change them out for lighter textures like cottons.

Laura Beth from A Step In The Journey

Bring the outdoors in! Decorate with moss, bright flowers, budding limbs. Oh, and open up the windows to brighten up the space with natural light!

Janel from Nellie Bellie

Bring in brighter colors in small doses. Change your scents to lighter, fresher scents. Coffee table books can be swapped out for ones with floral images, or even bright and happy colors. Changing out a dark lampshade for a lighter one can also make a big difference in living spaces. Oh and printables! Make use of all the free printable s online and get new spring artwork in a flash!

Shannon of Fox Hollow Cottage

I change out my toss pillows, Lamp shades, even my wall art. Rugs are changed to lighter colors and textures… everything takes on a airy quality and I get rid of heavy vignettes in favor of more streamlined groupings.

Jessica of Mom 4 Real

Bring in fresh flowers and plants if you can. You can usually find them at the grocery store, and they are inexpensive.

Gwen of The Bold Abode

I like to take some time to declutter, declutter, declutter. A clutter-free home opens up spaces that you never even knew you had, and Spring-time is the best time simplify your life. Just pick a room and spend a few minutes everyday thinking about what you don’t love. Then you’ll have room for some fresh new additions to brighten up and cheer your home!

Ann of On Sutton Place

I like to take some of my color away and go to whites or ivories. Especially with my pillows and accessories. Reversible pillow covers make this really easy. I try to make most of my pillow covers with a solid, light fabric on one side. Two looks for the price of one! I bring out my white ironstone, preserved boxwood or moss balls and always some lavender. Even dried lavender is fragrant and is the perfect scent to welcome Spring.

Kristin of Simply Klassic

Keep it simple – fresh flowers in a ribbon tied mason jar do a lot to brighten a space. Fresh anything, really – lemons and limes in a tall vase look beautiful!

As for me, if you follow along on Facebook you heard that I was having some issues with my sewing machine that have delayed me sharing my spring updates-my new machine arrived yesterday so look for some fun decor updates next week.  In the meantime I found some of my favorite Spring updates online and put them together for your inspiration-can you tell I’m yearning for bright colors this Spring?? (And can you believe not one of these things is over $60-in fact a few of those pillows are only $15!)
