Brightening Your Kitchen for Spring + A Giveaway!

Are you ready for spring yet? I’m counting down the days…here in NC we’ve only gotten one snow (that lasted all of 18 hours) but we’ve had plenty of cold dreary weather.  I’m ready to plant my garden, open the windows, and get these three boys outside all day everyday!

While it’s still blah outside I thought I’d brainstorm on how brighten up my kitchen to prepare for Spring.  To keep the, um, “brightening” within budget I focused on adding small punches of color.

I plan on replacing my boring hand soap with a cute little patterned Orla Kiely patterned soap from Method that I am going to pick up at Target-I love the pop of pattern and !  I was super excited to see that Method and Orla Kiely recently released their Spring line of patterns-they are so bright and fresh!

orla-kiely-product-lineThe scents sound amazing too-White Nectarine, Cloudburst, Honeysuckle, Tomato Vine-yum!

To compliment the pop of color of the soap I found some affordable new kitchen linens and I plan on keep a big bowl or fruit or vase of fresh flowers on the island-nothing cheers me up like flowers!

You can find the links to all of those linens on my Bring on Spring Pinterest Board-as well as other ideas for Spring decor!

The sweepstakes is open from Feb. 19 through March 5*. Method will randomly choose 5 grand prize winners. Open to residents of the U.S. and Canada, 18 years and older.

I love adding little touches to my kitchen (or anywhere else in my home) for the different seasons! The soaps are so, so fun! I’m itching for warmer weather, and these are the perfect way to add that feeling- even if it’s still a tad bit cold outside here. Thanks so much for sharing. Have a great weekend!

Awaiting 8-11″ predicted snowfall. Spring cannot arrive soon enough. To hasten the feeling I put some branches trimmed from our fruit trees in a bright blue bucket with a bit of water. They are now in full bloom and look beautiful and very spring like. Best part – didn’t cost a dime!
