Button and Jute Heart Valentine’s Frame

Oh my, is it cold where you are? This Southern girl does not know how to handle the freezing temps we’ve been getting this week! We’re due for an ice storm tonight as well-you might get lots of posts next week because I’m not leaving my house if the weather gets crazy!

I’ve been hard at work decorating my office/craft room-it’s not reveal-ready yet but I thought I’d share a little Valentine’s project I made for it. (My hubby and boys are not big into Valentine’s decor so I’m pretty much limited to decorating “my” area for this holiday!)

I had this awesome frame for while-it used to be turquoise (I had it in my laundry room) but this week I decided I wanted it in my craft room and turquoise was not going to work so I gave it a few coats of Krylon Short Cuts in Gold Leaf.  Then I cut a piece of cardboard to fit the frame opening and covered it in a scrap of drop cloth. (Cause what kind of blogger would I be without scraps of dropcloth?)

I ued my fancy-schmancy new cordless glue gun to glue my jute “love” saying and some mother-of-pearl buttons to the drop cloth (do you remember those from my Christmas tree garland?)

I think it adds the perfect bit of romantic Valentine’s sentiment to my office.

Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day? Or are you like me and meet with resistance when the pink and red decor comes out?

I absolutely love it! That pretty gold frame totally caught my eye! I love that you did that. And the cursive LOVE! Seriously, I swear you are in my brain sometimes! I keep thinking of these great projects to do, and then I’ll see you just totally rock it. I think we might just have the same brain! Well done!!!!!!!!!! xo
