My husband hates this cabinet. Hates it. We move a lot due to the military and apparently this thing is a pain to hang. I’m surprised he hasn’t thrown it out in the past few years.
When we moved into the new house last month he had thrown this in the Goodwill pile but I snuck it out when he wasn’t looking. As usual, I knew I could find another use for it. My first thought was to hang it over my oldest son’s “desk” and use the towel rack to hold his roll of paper. Then I remembered the previous debacles hanging it and decided against it.
Instead, I turned it over and voila-kid’s bookcase! The towel rack makes the perfect book display and the cabinet is an ideal place for him to keep his “treasures” away from the prying hands of his little brothers!
This has to be my easiest upcycled project yet!

Great solution! Looks like it was meant to be that way!
Genius! It would never have dawned on me to turn it upside down, but it looks perfect as a bookshelf. Way to go!
