A Pirate’s Life for Me!

Yesterday our crib mattress was delivered (at last!) and as I was about to take the box out to the trash I remembered this post on Design Dazzle with ideas for making things out of cardboard.  It seemed like fate so I grabbed my craft knife and packing tape and got to work! Twenty minutes later we had a fairly decent Pirate Ship complete with sail and pirate flag! The boys loved it and it provided me with literally a WHOLE day of peace!  That is a big time accomplishment when 8 months pregnant and hubby is deployed!  Seriously-one of the best twenty minutes I’ve invested in a while!

(By the way when the picture above was taken the ship was filled with various creatures-I believe they were playing Noah’s Ark, complete with dinosaurs!)

Hope you like it and you all have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks for stopping by!
