Not long ago I saw this beautiful picture on Remodelholic, and I loved the painting on the faux mantle immediately. I couldn’t find where it was from so I decided to tray and paint my own version.
Here is what I came up with:
I changed the colors in mine a bit to make it more compatible with my bedroom where I would like to hang it, but I’m very pleased with the way it turned out. I paint in oils so this baby is going to be drying for at least another week, I can’t wait to see it when it’s dry and up on the wall!
*****I’ve had a few inquiries into whether I would be willing to sell this painting, if you are seriously interested in purchasing it please email me at melissa_riker at yahoo dot com to discuss, otherwise you can see more of my paintings at my Etsy Shop. Thanks for the wonderful feedback!*****
